I respectfully request that your Honorable Board amend<br />

Chapter XL111 <strong>of</strong> the Revised 'Ordinances <strong>of</strong>~the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong>_<strong>Somerville</strong>, covering<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice hours in <strong>City</strong> Hall, by striking out said section'and substituting the<br />

following section therefor:<br />

CHAPTER XLHl<br />

Section 1. The <strong>of</strong>fices at the <strong>City</strong> Hall shall be kept open to the<br />

public daily (Sunday and legal holidays and Saturdays during the months <strong>of</strong><br />

June, July and August excepted) as follows;<br />

The <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the treasurer and collector <strong>of</strong> taxes, Saturdays from<br />

&.30 A.M. to 12 M., except during the months <strong>of</strong> June, ijuly and August; other<br />

days from g.30 A.M. to 4-.30 P.M. ' •<br />

The <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Public Welfare, <strong>City</strong> Engineer, Election<br />

Commission, Sealer <strong>of</strong> Weights and Measures, Board <strong>of</strong> Assessors, Auditor,<br />

<strong>City</strong> Clerk, ffater Dept., sanitary D ept. Clerk <strong>of</strong> Committees, Highway Dept.,<br />

Building Dept., Law Dept., Executive Dept., Board <strong>of</strong> Health, Retirement Board,<br />

Licensing Commission, and all other departments in <strong>City</strong> Hall, including the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Veterans 1 Aid and Pensions Dept., outside <strong>City</strong> Hall, Saturdays from<br />

g.3p A.M. to 12 M., except during the months <strong>of</strong> June, July and August> and<br />

other days from g.30 A.M. to 4-.30 P.M.<br />

50_pltman Street and 621 and 621-R "<strong>Somerville</strong> Avenue and'ha've ordered it demolished<br />

as a ,menace_to_t he_ publAc _ health and safety..<br />

Several communications were made to the" owners <strong>of</strong> this property<br />

the last being a registered letter on July £5, 19*^6 with a return receipt re<br />

quested and no reply has been received from them.<br />
