Section 6. The provisions <strong>of</strong> Sub-sections 2, 3 and ^, hereinbefore<br />

described in this ordinance, shall not be applicable on Sundays, legal<br />

holidays, or between the hours <strong>of</strong> 10; 00 P.M. and g;00 A'.M, *<br />

Section 7« This ordinance shall 1 take effect upon its passage and<br />

approval by the Department <strong>of</strong> Public works, Commonwealth <strong>of</strong> Massachusetts.<br />

Read twice and further action deferred under the rules until<br />

the ordinance shall have been printed and a copy laid on the desk <strong>of</strong> each al-<br />

derman.<br />

Vice-president Reynolds <strong>of</strong>fered the following order,<br />

Ordered:<br />

That the Commissioner <strong>of</strong> Electric Lines and]<br />

Lights Install a street light <strong>of</strong> suitable candle-power at the corner <strong>of</strong> St.<br />

Jamea Avenue and Elm Street, in order to correct the dangerous lighting con-<br />

dition existing at this intersection.<br />

Adopted.<br />

Alderman Brady <strong>of</strong>fered the following orders,<br />

Ordered; '<br />

That the American Surety Company ojf_New^york, the<br />

surety on sign permit bond, safcl bond being given to secure the C ity~6f ~sojne rvllle<br />

on account <strong>of</strong> a license iss ued on order <strong>of</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen t Prlmo<br />

Dlozzi for a sign " over the sidewalk at 59*4- " somerville Avenue on<br />

> be and it" hereby is released from "further liability as surety on said<br />

bond, provided, however, m that this release shall not affect or release the liability<br />

<strong>of</strong> the said surety on account <strong>of</strong> any obligation arising In connection<br />

with said bond prior to the date <strong>of</strong> the approval <strong>of</strong> this order by the Mayor.<br />

A new permit having been granted to Dlozzi Liquor gtore, inc. and<br />

new bond having been filed with the American surety Company <strong>of</strong> New York, the<br />

license granted to prlmo Diozzi for a sign over the sidewalk at 59^ <strong>Somerville</strong><br />

Avenue is hereby revoked.<br />

Upon the approval <strong>of</strong> this order by the Mayor, the <strong>City</strong> Clerk is<br />

hereby directed to forward a copy <strong>of</strong> this order to the surety company abovementioned.<br />

That the Sanitary Commissioner is hereby ordered<br />

and directed to have all persons, companies and/or corporations who rent trucks<br />

to the Sanitary Department, to appear before the Finance Committee <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen at its meeting on November 22, 19^, at 8:00 P.M. and also<br />

to have all persona, companies and/or corporations who are doing repairs to<br />

the trucks <strong>of</strong> the Sanitary Department, to appear before the said Finance Com-<br />

mittee In order that the members <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen may secure Informa-<br />

tion as to the monies expended by the said department in the hiring and re-<br />

pairing <strong>of</strong> trucks.<br />
