I respectfully recommend an appropriation of $300.00 to
Highways & Sidewalks Maintenance, Special Item, for the repair of steps at
Fremont Street.
This amount will be necessary for the labor and materials
required to do the work.

John H. Pearson and James G. Hope (and others not residents of Somerville)
under the name of The Most Worshipful George Washington carver Grand Lodge,
Incorporated, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, for the purpose of the fol-
lowing: To maintain a place for holding meetings. To perform and encourage
educational, social and civic activities. TO acquire and hold any real es-
tate necessary for this purpose but more particularly for the association-
and accommodation of this Lodge of Free Masons, a non-profit organization by
the name of The Most Worshipful George Washington Carver Grand Lodge, Incor-
porated, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. -This purpose shall not Include
the right to apply for a license to sell alcoholic beverages; to be located
in the city of Attleboro, Mass., said application being accompanied by a re-
port from the Deputy Chief of police stating that upon investigation he falls
to find any record of the above mentioned persons ever having-been engaged
in the illegal selling of intoxicating liquors or in the keeping of places
or tenements for the purpose of illegal gaming or in any other business pro-
hibited by law and that they are persons of good repute.
