As you well know we have been and are being put to considerable
expense trying to replace glass in school and public buildings. The
breakage of glass has put the city to great expense and we have also had
great difficulty in trying to secure the glass.
It is moat important and very necessary to replace broken
glass in the various school buildings in view of the winter conditions. This
work has to be done.
Therefore, I am obliged to request you to make available for
my use in the School Buildings and Grounds, Ordinary Maintenance Account, the
sum of $396 in order to carry on the work for the balance of the year,
