Alderman Hurd offered the following order,
Ordered:
That the Massachusetts Bonding and Insurance,Company,
the surety on awning permit bond, said bond being given to secure the.
City of somervllle on account of a license'issued on order of Board of Aldermen
to Joyce Bros* & Co. for an awning" over-the sidewalk at'2l6 Elm Street on
February 23, 1939* be and it hereby is released'from'further'liability as/
surety on said bond, provided, however, that this release shall not affect or
release the liability of the said surety on account of any obligation arising
in connection with said bond prior to the date of the approval of this order
by the Mayor.
A new permit having been granted to Crosley Shoe by Abraham Bornstein
and new bond having been filed with the Maryland Casualty Company, the
license granted to Joyce Bros. & Co. for an awning over the sidewalk at 2l6
Elm Street is hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the City Clerk is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this order to the surety company above
mentioned.
