obtaining the opinion <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Solicitor with reference to the same, <strong>of</strong><br />

recommending the appropriation <strong>of</strong> the sura <strong>of</strong> $2,885*00 to reimburse Dr. A. F*<br />

Bianchl, Dentist for J;he Board oj^Pu}Dllc_Welfare <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> as a result <strong>of</strong><br />

a Court Judgment obtained against him in the case <strong>of</strong> Ida Maione vs. Dr. A. F.<br />

Blanch!. Said Judgment having resulted from complications from dental work<br />

being done in the performance <strong>of</strong> his duties for the <strong>City</strong>, in treating a per-<br />

son then receiving welfare Aid from the <strong>City</strong>.<br />

Adopted.<br />

Ordered:<br />

That every service man employed_ln_the_Cl^y,<br />

whether they were attached to a Civil Service position before they entered<br />

Military service or became attached after entering Military Service, be<br />

placed in the same position with reference to step rate increases, seniority<br />

rights and all other rights and benefits, to which they would have been en-<br />

titled had they not been In Military service.<br />

Alderman Corbett.<strong>of</strong>fered the following orders and resolution,<br />

Ordered:.<br />

That the Globe Indemnity company, the surety on<br />

sign permit bond, said bond being given to secure the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong>" somervllle on<br />

account <strong>of</strong> a license issued on order <strong>of</strong>'Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen to Raimondo Canglano<br />

for a sign over the sidewalk at 136 Medford Street (28^ McGpath Highwayj<br />

on March 8, 193^* be and it hereby is released from further liability as sure-ty<br />

on said bond, provided, however, that this release shall not af'f e~ct or release<br />

the liability <strong>of</strong> the said surety on account <strong>of</strong> any obligation arising<br />

in connection with said bond prior to the date <strong>of</strong> the approval <strong>of</strong> this order<br />

by the Mayor.<br />

A new permit having been granted to Marino Taddeo at 284 McGrath<br />

Highway and new bond having been filed with the Standard Accident Insurance<br />

Company, the license granted to Raimondo Canglano for a sign over the sidewalk<br />

at 136 Medford Street (28*J- McGrath Highway) Is hereby revoked.<br />

Upon the approval <strong>of</strong> this order by the Mayor, the <strong>City</strong> Clerk is<br />

hereby directed to ^forward a copy <strong>of</strong> this order to the surety company abovementioned.<br />

It is hereby determined by the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen<br />

that the hours <strong>of</strong> voting at the Polls at the State Primaries to be held on<br />

June 18, 19^6» shall be from eight o'clock in the morning until eight o'clock<br />

in the evening.
