12.7 R-ASYNC Port<br />

12.7.1 Reception flow control<br />

For R-ASYNC and asynchronous PPP protocols only.<br />

Flow control on the receiver. This parameter defines the method used by the NetPerformer<br />

to control the flow of data received from the attached equipment. Flow control is applied<br />

when the number of characters on input exceeds a predefined threshold.<br />

12.7.2 Transmission flow control<br />

For R-ASYNC and asynchronous PPP protocols only.<br />

Flow control on the transmitter. This parameter defines the method used by the attached<br />

equipment to control the flow of data transmitted by the NetPerformer.<br />

12.7.3 Transmit holding time (s)<br />

Hold time on the transmitter. This parameter defines the maximum time, in seconds, that<br />

the transmitter can be blocked due to flow control. There is no hold time limit if this<br />

parameter is configured as 0 seconds.<br />

Values: 0 - 2000<br />

Default: 0<br />
