13.3.9 LLC frame size
13.3.10 XID support
Console SNMP Text-based Config
LLC frame size puLlcMaxFrame [pu#] LlcMaxFrame
For all PU modes with an LLC connection.
Maximum frame size on the LLC side of the connection, excluding LLC and SNA
headers.
For an SDLC-LLC connection, if the value of this parameter is equal to that of the SDLC
Frame Size parameter (listed earlier), then no frame splitting will occur. On the other
hand, if the value of this parameter is different from that of the SDLC Frame Size
parameter, the NetPerformer will split the frames according to the smaller Frame Size
value.
Values: 128, 256, 512, 1024
Default: 512
Console SNMP Text-based Config
XID support puXid [pu#] Xid
For all PU modes with an LLC, BAN or BNN connection.
PU exchanges identification. This parameter determines whether the PU expects to
exchange PU identification with the device it is connected to, and ensures the identity of
the remote PU in SNA applications. When set to AUTO, the NetPerformer can get the PU
ID automatically via the XID request, and pass it to the host side before completing the
connection.
If the PU does not support the XID request, you must set this parameter to MANUAL. In
this case, you will have to set the XID manually by completing the XID fields if the host
requests this information.
NOTE: This parameter is slightly different from the XID Support parameter mentioned
earlier (for configuration of an SDLC connection), where the manual
setting is not available.
Values: AUTO, MANUAL
Default: AUTO
