la economía mundial estará la figura del asesor, porque los clientes van a requerir a un agente físico pero que incorpore herramientas tecnológicas. <strong>El</strong> intermediario tradicional se está digitalizando, y eso tiene un gran futuro. Se necesita el contacto humano. Por ello, el reto está en cómo humanizar lo digital. Hoy el mundo digital está en todos lados; sólo debemos colocar emociones en el seguro, porque es una realidad que éste es un producto emocional. que estamos en la industria y observar una gran colaboración entre aseguradoras, reaseguradoras, insurtech y superapps, ya que todos tenemos el mismo propósito, que es proteger a las personas y sus bienes a un precio adecuado. También tenemos que ser reflexivos sobre el costo de intermediación, y ahí tomo la frase de <strong>El</strong>on Musk que dice: “Ustedes, sector asegurador, no se dan cuenta, pero tienen a un vendedor de seguros, una aseguradora y un broker de reaseguro ganando una parte de la cadena de valor, y el que lo paga es el cliente final. Nosotros, con el automóvil y los datos, podemos tener el mejor precio”. Tomando en cuenta esa afirmación, puedo decir que el desafío es grande y que hay espacio para todos en la tarea de darle una gran cobertura al cliente a un precio accesible. <strong>El</strong> mundo anterior, en el que el costo de adquisición era muy alto, se quedó en el siglo 20. EAM: ¿Qué querría usted ver en el futuro tanto en el sector asegurador como en el ecosistema insurtech? HB: Me gustaría ver mucho más humildad en todos los Digitalization and innovation set the rhythm of the new consumption era. The challenge that the sector faces lies in how interaction with these platforms will develop as they will constitute one third of the global economy. The role of insurance agents will be closely related to the products they offer. The industry must remain relevant by offering tailored products which most outstanding feature will be their digital distribution rather than their brand. Insurance agents will constitute the other two thirds of the global economy because clients will need to interact with a real agent who adopts technological tools. Traditional insurance brokers are adopting digital resources, and there is a lot of potential there. Human contact is necessary; thus, the challenge lies in bringing the human element into the digital world which is present everywhere; we just need to include emotions into insurance as we are actually dealing with emotional products. EAM: What future would you like to materialize for both the insurance sector and the insurtech ecosystem? HB: I’d like to see the players in this industry show much more humbleness and a great collaboration among insurers, reinsurers, insurtechs, and super apps since we share the same goal, that is, protecting people and their assets for a fair price. We must also reflect on the fees charged for the insurance brokerage services and here, I will borrow the following quote from <strong>El</strong>on Musk: “You, within the insurance sector, are not aware that insurance agents, insurers, and insurance brokers all own a piece of the chain value, and it is the end customer who pays for that. We can have the best price with cars and information.” With this statement in mind, I can say we face a big challenge, but there is room for everyone in fulfilling the task of offering good coverage for clients at a fair price.
