ABSTRACTThe epithelial tumors of ovary establishes 80à87% of theovarian tumors, different from the other tumors of the ovary by itspeculiarities: histological, therapeutic and forecast.The authors present a retrospective series of 36 cases of the epithelialtumors of ovary brought together in the service of anatomy pathology of FESof the professor Amarti Afaf and report the following results:* The age of our patients went from 27 years to 74 years with an average of45.62 years.* Tumors are bilateral in 36% of cases, rights in 28%, and in 19% of cases areof quoted left. 17 % of cases had not <strong>de</strong>finite location.* Cystic tumors represent the majority of cases 81 %, versus tumors of solidaspect which constitute only the 8 % of the cases. 11 % of cases are notspecified.* The benign tumors are the most frequent (50 %), followed by the malignanttumors (30 %), then tumors Bor<strong>de</strong>rline (11 %). 6 % of cases tumors arebilateral zith different rank.* Serous tumors and mucinous are the most frequent, they representrespectively, 46 % and 42 % of cases, endométrioïd tumors represent 6 % ofcases, and the clear cell tumours represent 3 % of cases. 3 % of cases arenot specified .* Biopsies are ma<strong>de</strong> in 44,4 % of cases, 31,25 % of all cases are positive:80% of cases correspond to the malignant tumours and 20% of cases aretumours Bor<strong>de</strong>rline.* The cytological study is accomplished in the 11,12 % of cases: positive in ahalf and negative in the other half.123
