at Ruhr University Bochum
showed, that the temperature
in members of twice the currently
permitted thickness (at
size range 16 mm to 80 cm),
rises, indeed, during hydration
to 70 K without, however,
resulting in a loss of strength.
Furthermore, in limiting manufacture
to small-sized components,
cracking can be avoided
through controlled heat curing.
None of the investigated
concretes, moreover, including
some of considerable thickness
(up to 80cm) and/or when exposed
to high temperatures,
showed any signs of secondary
ettringite formation.
Flowable filling concrete
used for repairs
Flowable filling concrete can
also be used to good advantage
for repairing concrete
components for which substitute
concrete layers of greater
thickness. Its use for repairing
smaller voids has already been
approved by the flowable filling
concrete code of practice.
In it, however, the limitation
between voids of smaller and
larger size has not been precisely
defined. For the repair,
a durable bond over the entire
surface between the old and the
new concrete is the relevant
requirement made on flowable
filling concrete. Here, in keeping
with the classic regulations,
special attention must be paid
to low shrinkage and a not excessive
stiffness. Accordingly,
only flowable filling concretes
of shrinkage class SKVB 0 and
early strength class C, for with
the 28-day strength is additionally
limited, should be used.
For flowable filling mortars
commonly used only for casting
thin layers, more provisions
will have to be made. These
will shortly be regulated in the
DAfStb code of practice on the
“protection and repair of structural
concrete components.”
Bauteilen mit bis zum doppelten
der derzeit zulässigen Dicke (bei
GK 16 mm bis 80 cm) die Temperatur
während der Hydratation
zwar um bis zu 70 K ansteigen
kann, dennoch zeigten sich keinerlei
Festigkeitseinbußen. Darüber
hinaus ist bei Begrenzung
auf kleinformatige Bauteile bei
einer gesteuerten thermischen
Nachbehandlung auch eine Rissbildung
vermeidbar. Weiterhin
lieferte keiner der untersuchten
Betone - auch bei sehr großen
Bauteildicken (bis 80 cm) beziehungsweise
bei hoher Erwärmung
- Anzeichen einer sekundären
Ettringitbildung.
Vergussbeton für Instandsetzungsmaßnahmen
Ebenso kann Vergussbeton für die
Instandsetzung von Betonbauteilen,
bei denen der Betonersatz
über eine größere Dicke einzubringen
ist, vorteilhaft eingesetzt
werden. Für kleinformatige Fehlstellen
ist die Anwendung über
die Vergussbeton-Richtlinie bereits
ermöglicht. Allerdings ist
dabei die Abgrenzung zwischen
klein- und großformatigen Fehlstellen
nicht genauer definiert.
Bei der Instandsetzung definiert
der dauerhafte flächige Verbund
zwischen Alt- und Neubeton
die maßgebliche Anforderung
an den Vergussbeton. Entsprechend
den klassischen Regeln
ist daher besonders auf ein geringes
Schwinden und eine nicht
zu hohe Steifigkeit zu achten.
Dementsprechend sollten hierfür
nur Vergussbetone der Schwindklasse
SKVB 0 und der Frühfestigkeitsklasse
C herangezogen
werden, bei denen zusätzlich die
28-Tage-Druckfestigkeit nach
oben begrenzt wird. Für Vergussmörtel,
die üblicherweise
nur in dünnen Schichten eingesetzt
werden, bedarf es weiterer
Vorkehrungen, die in Kürze
auch über die DAfStb-Richtlinie
„Schutz und Instandsetzung von
Betonbauteilen“ geregelt werden.
