MEET & MATCH
Diesen
Laborcharakter der Konferenz gilt es, weiter in Richtung des Leitmottos „not just another
Innovations in Culture and Creativity in Europa, von mehreren Städten bzw. Institutionen
bekundet.
diesem Jahr neu hinzugekommenen N.I.C.E.-Netzwerkpartner Krakow Festival.
“The Forum d’Avignon Ruhr is one of the most important European laboratories of culture,”
concluded Jan Truszczyński, the European Commission’s Director-General for Education
and Culture, at last year’s edition of the Forum d’Avignon Ruhr. The aim is to continue to
strengthen this lab-like nature of the conference toward the leading motto “not just another
conference” and to further the conceptual development of formats such as “Meet & Match”,
the spectrum of networking, and to conceptually expand European partnerships in the future.
During the pilot run this year, it became clear for the first time that the demand is high.
At the Forum d’Avignon Ruhr 2015, this open format offered institutions, networks, and participants
the opportunity for targeted exchange beyond any panel discussion. This approach
enabled cooperations that extend far beyond the conference and foster the expansion of
networks from the Ruhr region into other European countries.
Within the framework of the “Meet & Match” format, several cities and institutions expressed
their interest in N.I.C.E., the Network for Innovations in Culture and Creativity in Europe.
Therefore, the exhibition will also be presented in the context of the European Capital of
Culture Donostia/San Sebastián 2016, and with the help of the Forum d’Avignon in France,
another exhibition will be made possible in Bordeaux as well as at the Krakow Festival, one
of this year’s new N.I.C.E. network partners.
