and work together in a team. We trust that this subject will also<br />
gain more popularity amongst the boys next year. Those who did<br />
participate this year proved to be real gentlemen! They had lots of<br />
laughs and lots of fun!<br />
The Lego Robotics group was introduced to real-world robots.<br />
With these the learners approached challenges head on by<br />
coming up with programming solutions. In these classes learners<br />
were introduced to key lessons and concepts (e.g. Loops) by<br />
building simple programs that progress towards a challenge task.<br />
They were encouraged to take a “Try It” approach to solve semiguided<br />
problems.<br />
Mrs Breytenbach, Mr Ponnen and the Media Marketing team<br />
composed weekly PowerPoint presentations, which were screened<br />
in the staff room. These presentations are designed to keep teachers<br />
up to date with important upcoming events, meal plans, birthdays<br />
and much more! The learners used their creativity to create visually<br />
appealing slides.<br />
