Schwimmfest | Swim Fest
The swim fest has finally come and gone and is truthfully a relief ;)
When one looks back one can hardly believe that organising and
hosting an event of such magnitude was possible. Not only was it
possible but it was very successful and proved to be a fun day for all.
The swim fest is a unique event. Expecting every learner in the
school to swim in one gala, in one pool, on one day is quite an
achievement! It is definitely something the entire DSP community
can be proud of!
But this day would not be possible without the input of each
of the role players involved. I would like to thank my sports
department for their assistance; it does not go by unnoticed and is
much appreciated. Thank you to Mr Gehrke and Frau Kapfhammer
who both entered results the whole of Saturday. Your willingness to
help is instrumental. I would like to thank all of the staff members
for completing your duties on the day. Without each one of you the
gala could not take place. Thank you to the maintenance staff for
setting up the pool venue so perfectly. Your hard work before and
after the day is much appreciated. I would also like to thank Frau
Lange and her team for the catering. Thank you to all of the learners
who did a duty on the day, you really helped a lot. Thank you and
well done to all of the swimmers, it was a pleasure to see you all
participate. I would like to end off by thanking the parents. Thank
you for your support. Many parents have positively commented on
the day and have given good feedback. It is much appreciated by
me and the sports department.
There are a few things to work on in order to host an even better
gala next year and I believe that with everyone’s cooperation this
can definitely be achieved. Thank you!
