the tests on downsized grouted connections indicate that the regulations of the<br />

American Petroleum Institute are conservative regarding the tested specimens<br />

whereas the regulations by Det Norske Veritas overestimate the first maximum<br />

load as well as the ultimate load. Further investigations are in progress to<br />

confirm these results.<br />
