triangular red spots, and there is another spot of the same<br />

in the yellow spot, next to its front edge.<br />

The caterpillar is green, with velvet black rings, dotted<br />

alternately with yellowish red.<br />

The chrysalis is light green, with yellow on the sides and<br />

the back.<br />

The figure is taken from an unusually fine specimen in my<br />

own collection, bred in 1851, from a chrysalis received with<br />

others from the Rev. George Rudston Read, who had them<br />

from Cambridgeshire by post.<br />
