name of Thalia, is described as having the wings above pale<br />

fulvous, irregularly spotted with black; the front ones, under­<br />

neath, pale, varied with yellowish and ferruginous towards the<br />

tips, with some obsolete black and dusky spots; the hind wings<br />

variegated with ferruginous, yellowish, and greenish, with the<br />

pupil of the eye very large; the silvery spot continued to the<br />

hind margin, and the usual marginal spots lengthened inwardly;<br />

the usual bands obliterated, but the silvery spot at the base<br />

someAvhat apparent.<br />
