colour, except at their loAver part, which is broAvn. The hind
wings are also of the same green colour, with a row of minute
Avhite dots, forming a more or less complete streak near the
middle, but outside it, following the shape of the margin. In
some specimens the dots are almost obsolete. The tail is very
short, and hardly distinguishable from the other indentations
Avhich border these wings. Mr. Stephens describes a variety
in which the fore wings have a row of white dots on their
front margin.
The female resembles the male.
The caterpillar is light green, with roAvs of triangular yellow
spots on the sides: the head is black.
