Assessment methodology will be susta<strong>in</strong>ed<br />

and readily available <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> subregion<br />

through identified agencies; understand<strong>in</strong>g<br />

of drug ab<strong>use</strong> risk factors affect<strong>in</strong>g youth <strong>in</strong><br />

urban areas will be improved; an <strong>in</strong>creased<br />

number of choices <strong>in</strong> selection of national<br />

program models to prevent or reduce <strong>the</strong><br />

risks of drug ab<strong>use</strong> will exist; <strong>the</strong> confidence<br />

of <strong>the</strong> respective governments <strong>in</strong> program<br />

plann<strong>in</strong>g for risk reduction will be <strong>in</strong>creased;<br />

and national <strong>in</strong>stitutions will be recognised<br />

for <strong>the</strong>ir actual and potential contribution to<br />

a core group of national tra<strong>in</strong>ees <strong>in</strong> data<br />

collection, analysis and <strong>in</strong>terpretation will<br />

exist; drug ab<strong>use</strong> <strong>in</strong>formation systems <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

participat<strong>in</strong>g countries will be operational;<br />

and a basis for subregional exchange of drug<br />
