RDS Search<br />
Use this function to automatically tune to FM stations that provide the<br />
RDS service.<br />
1 Press<br />

PTY Search<br />
Use this function to find RDS stations broadcasting a designated<br />
program type (PTY).<br />
For a description of each program type, refer to “Program Type<br />
(PTY)”.<br />

[SEARCH] three times to select “PTY”.<br />

TP Search<br />
Tuning in Radio Stations<br />
Use this function to find RDS stations broadcasting traffic programs<br />
(TP stations).<br />

2 Press<br />
[SEARCH] four times to select “TP”.<br />
[CHANNEL].<br />
TP search begins automatically.<br />
b If no TP station is found with the above operation, all the reception<br />
bands are searched.<br />
b The station name is displayed on the display after searching<br />
stops.<br />
3 To<br />
continue searching, repeat steps 1 to 2.<br />
b If no other TP station is found when all the frequencies have been<br />
searched, “NO PROGRAMME” is displayed.<br />
RT (Radio Text)<br />
“RT” appears on the display when radio text data is received.<br />
Press [SEARCH] five times to select “RT”.<br />
b While receiving an RDS broadcast station, the text data broadcast<br />
from the station is displayed.<br />
b To turn the display off, press o p.<br />
b If no text data is being broadcast, “NO TEXT DATA” is displayed.<br />

This procedure can be used to play Internet radio stations or<br />
music or still picture (JPEG) files stored on a computer or USB<br />
memory device.<br />

About the Internet Radio Function<br />
• Internet radio refers to radio broadcasts distributed over the Internet.<br />
Internet radio stations from around the world can be tuned in.<br />
The <strong>AVR</strong>-<strong>4310</strong> is equipped with the following Internet radio<br />
functions:<br />
• Stations can be selected by genre and region.<br />
• Up to 56 Internet radio stations can be preset.<br />
• Internet radio stations in MP3 and WMA (Windows Media <strong>Audio</strong>)<br />
<strong>for</strong>mat can be listened to.<br />
• Your favorite radio stations can be registered by accessing an<br />
exclusive DENON Internet radio URL from a Web browser on a<br />
computer.<br />
b The function is managed <strong>for</strong> individual users, so you must provide<br />
your MAC or e-mail address.<br />
