thought, well, rather than just go in and just discuss it in general terms, we might
make an prototype, which we did internally, but we never got to the point of talking
to them about it.
E. Meyerhofer Deposition at 25:11-26:12:
Q. Did you demonstrate the Tokheim unit to anybody?
A. Not to my recollection, we didn't.
Q. What about people within FutureLogic? Who saw the -- did anybody
see the unit in operation?
A. I believe perhaps the same individual I mentioned, Wan Hsing Ma,
might have, who was working there at that time. I can't -- I don't believe he worked
on the project, but he may have. I can't recall. I remember doing a lot of the work
myself on it, but he may have seen it.
Q. Did Mark see it?
A. Definitely Mark as well.
Q. Anybody else?
A. [ just don't recall --it was pretty much an engineering project. I don't
recall really doing much with it beyond the lab.
Q. Did you approach anybody ontside of FutureLogic, Tokheim included,
about this design of the Toldleim unit?
A. To my recollection we were getting it prepared to do that. And
Tokheim's whole business took an adverse change about that time, so new projects
were not going to be of interest, and that's when we decided not to pursue it. That
was -- that's my recollection of it, so I think the answer is no to that.
