What will happen in this research?<br />

Once you complete the questionnaire, please place it in this enclosed enveloped and<br />

hand it back directly to me. I will analyse your responses along with the responses<br />

collected from your subordinates. You might be required to fill individual survey<br />

forms more than once depending on the number of subordinates who have mentioned<br />

your name. You can fill in your demographic information only once and need not<br />

repeat it in the survey form.<br />

What are the discomforts and risks?<br />

There are no anticipated risks or discomforts to you. Your participation in the study is<br />

voluntary and you can withdraw at any stage from this research without any adverse<br />

consequences to you.<br />

What are the benefits?<br />

Your participation will contribute to an understanding of the relationship between<br />

LMX agreement and the work outcomes in the hospitality industry. This study is<br />

expected to stimulate further research and assist me in obtaining my Masters<br />

qualification at AUT University.<br />

How will my privacy be protected?<br />

Your responses will remain confidential and no one but me will have access to your<br />

responses. It will be securely locked up for six years and then shredded.<br />

What are the costs of participating in this research?<br />

The only cost to you is your time: completing the questionnaire for each of your<br />

subordinates consume only 2-3 minutes. For example, if you have five subordinates, it<br />

will take around 10-15 minutes for you to complete the questionnaires.<br />
