1. Gender:<br />

Lodging: All of the 161 subordinates from the lodging group who participated in the<br />

current study specified their gender. 80.7 % were men and 19.3 % were women.<br />

Dining: All of the 161 subordinates from the dining group who participated in the<br />

current study specified their gender. 94.8 % were men and the remaining subordinates<br />

were women (See Table 6).These data are consistent with previous studies that found<br />

that the Indian hospitality industry is traditionally male-dominated and women in the<br />

workforce are minimum (Chhokar, 2007; Pellegrini et al., 2010).<br />

Lodging: The average age among these participating subordinates was 30.96 years old<br />
