4. Industry experience: All of the 43 supervisors across both the groups who<br />

participated in this study specified their collective experience in the hospitality<br />

industry. The range of the industry experience among the supervisors in the lodging<br />

group was from 1 year to 33 years and among the dining group was from 6 years to 30<br />

years. The average industrial experience among these supervisors in the lodging group<br />

was 13.53 years and the standard deviation of the industrial experience was 9.27. The<br />

average industrial experience among the supervisors in the dining group was 19.18<br />

years and the standard deviation was 9.23. It is evident from the data that supervisors<br />

in the dining properties had more industrial experience than their counterparts in the<br />

lodging properties (See Table 16).<br />
