March 15, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: The Tallahassee/Leon County Enterprise Zone Development Agency bylaws, policies and procedures mandates that the members of the EZDA shall be appointed by Resolution of the County Commission and shall consist of eleven (11) members; one of the members consisting of a representative from a local finance or insurance entity to serve an initial term of four years (subsequent term: four years). This letter is to serve as my formal recommendation for Sherwood Brown, Business Services Manager, First Commerce Credit Union, to serve on the Tallahassee/Leon County Enterprise Zone Development Agency as the local finance entity. His capacity as a Business/Commercial Services manager and strong background in the area and prior experience working with the Enterprise Zone provides him with the knowledge and background that the board is seeking. For these reasons, I highly recommend Sherwood Brown as a candidate to serve on the Tallahassee/Leon County Enterprise Zone Development Agency Board of Commissioners. RESOLUTION __________ RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEON COUNTY, FLORIDA, SETTING FORTH APPOINTMENT OF NEW MEMBER TO THE ENTERPRISE ZONE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (EZDA); WHEREAS, Section 2-92 of Chapter 2, Article III, Division 4 of the Code of Laws of Leon County requires that the members of the Enterprise Zone Development Agency (the EZDA) be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (the Board) by resolution; and WHEREAS, there currently is a need for a new member to be appointed to the EZDA. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Leon County Board of County Commissioners as follows: Section 1.
