• Verbalize understanding of condition/disease process and<br />

treatment.<br />

• Identify relationship of signs/symptoms to the disease process<br />

and correlate symptoms with causative factors.<br />

• Perform necessary procedures correctly and explain reasons<br />

for the actions.<br />

• Initiate necessary lifestyle changes and participate in treatment<br />

regimen.<br />

learning needs:<br />

• Ascertain level of knowledge, including anticipatory needs.<br />

• Determine client’s ability/readiness and barriers to learning.<br />

capable at this time.<br />
