0 Produce The Green Revolution EUROFRESH DISTRIBUTION Almeria has once more demonstrated its great capacity of adaptation to the European demand of a product without residues. 100% of pepper crops are under biological control for this season. “The last ones that finally did not apply it already risked” unanimously declared the main exporting groups. Each company has a full team of technicians dedicated exclusively to follow up on producers with the protocols of certification and biological control. Other technicians follow up products that are still not certified. Compared to A.swirskii predator type, they show a higher resistance to low temperatures. "We introduced many innovative predators into the cultivation process of the both current and future campaigns. Our new “mini-envelope” formulae enables us to improve the measures taken against the whitefly and thrips that damage cucumber, egg-plant, melon, and watermelons”, declares the company`s Spain and Portugal manager, Federico García. The “mini-envelopes” containing Amblyline a.k.a.(A. cucumeris) predators are proven to be the best alternative to control the thrips during the cultivation of winter pepper and cucumber crops, due to their higher adaption to low temperatures in comparison to A.swirskii. Federico García also confirms for the future campaign the launch of the new predator types for the tomato cultivation, a trustworthy alternative to the already existing Eretmocerus mundus and Nesidiocoris Tenuis. With the Anderline predator type, used to eliminate the red spider mite, Syngenta Bioline turns into a leading producer of strawberry. "We currently offer a very complete and trustworthy program for the integrated control of plagues and diseases in the “forest fruits” sector", adds Federico García.
