The crystallographic data and structure refinement parameters for the
compound la are given in Table 3.5 and that of the compounds [Ni(HL7)2]Cl2 (5­
2‘/zH2O) and [Ni(L8)2] (6a) are given in Table 3.6. Molecular graphics employed were
ORTEP—III [40] PLATON [41] MERCURY [42] and DIAMOND version 3.0 [43].
