ROAD TO LONDON
MULTI PARTICIPATION
Rhode’s is not the only extraordinary story of women participation in
the Olympic Games. It was indeed a women the only shooter who was
able to win two medals in two different events in the same Olympic
editions. Korea’s lee bo nA achieved the outstanding result at the
Athens’ Games, by securing Silver both at the Trap and at the Double
Trap Women events, all within two days between the 16 th and the 18 th of
August 2004. And, with six participations in the Games between 1976
and 2008, Canada’s susAn nATTrAss stands as one of the most consistent
Shotgun shooters of all times, followed by Russia’s sveTlAnA
deminA, who participated in five Games. But the history of Shotgun
Women events is still young, and still has many pages to be filled in.
London will be the next stage of their story, between iron, powder and
successes. (Table 10)
