PPS (DIN designation)
Polyphenylenesulphide (PPS) is a semi-crystalline, high
temperature thermoplastic polymer. Its chemical structure
makes PPS a highly resistant polymer with high strength
and hardness, even in the upper temperature ranges. In
addition to low water absorption, it also has good dimensional
stability and excellent electrical properties. PPS is
chemically very stable even at high temperatures. In the
field of semi-finished products, PPS is almost exclusively
available in the marketplace in fibre-reinforced form.
