Service Aims<br />
To meet Council’s statutory obligations, and build the City’s<br />
resilience to bushfires and other major emergency events<br />
through effective planning, management, engagement and<br />
partnership with the community and all emergency service organisations.<br />
To minimise life cycle costs for built assets used to deliver the<br />
Emergency Management service.<br />
COUNCIL SERVICE ACTIVITIES<br />
Work in partnership with the Rural Fire Service to protect the City from bushfire,<br />
including provision of premises, vehicles, operational and administrative<br />
support<br />
Work in partnership with the State Emergency Service to facilitate response<br />
and recovery for emergencies, including provision of premises, vehicles,<br />
operational and administrative support<br />
Build community awareness, capacity and resilience to bushfire and other<br />
major emergencies through advocacy, engagement and education<br />
