ATTACHMENT 2 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE - SERVICE OVERVIEW Proactive Monitoring and Response Proactive monitoring & response to a range of environmental protection, public health & safety issues: Inspection of effluent systems; fencing of private swimming pools, food premises etc. Follow up on complaints e.g. dumped rubbish, overgrown vegetation, illegal use, noise etc. Assistance provided to other government agencies e.g., food recalls, mosquito capture for Ross River Fever virus Management of building fire safety of public / commercial buildings Management of companion animal issues, roaming, attacking, etc. Issuing of approvals e.g. for footpath dining.
