CONDITION OF STAIRS, BRIDGES & BOARDWALKS ASSETS
Business As Usual
10 Year Projected
Comments
Elevated track surfaces such as stairs, bridges and boardwalks are varied in their construction and are predominantly late in their
life cycle. Most are non-compliant with the current Australian standards. Their renewal is critical as they have finite longevity for
safety reasons and their positioning anywhere along a track could result in the complete closure of a track as a result of the failure
of one staircase for example.
