capacity for, given the land situation or situation facing

the reserve, there isn't the economic base to do that.

That's a big challenge, of course, and that's not

sort of my primary area of expertise but certainly job
creation and development of subsidized enterprises in those
communities can help build some of the economic development
activities that need to occur in those communities,
building more self-sufficiency around people being able to
sort of build their own homes and things of that nature
would be examples of the kind of initiatives that would
work, but it has to be coupled with, with training and

development and other kind of supports.
And the Manitoba

government has taken some initiatives in, in sort of
allocating employment opportunities to many of those
communities that are affected by -- or that are related to
