Q Okay. One of the key elements of the D.R.
system, I think, is you said one of the key things that
distinguishes it from the old model was the training
component?

Yes.
That was essential for social workers to get that

specialized training?

Right.
Is any part of that training focused on how to

engage collaterals, work with, you know, third parties in
getting the services and connecting with the community?

Well, I'm not the, the expert on the sort of
17

training model that has evolved but I think some aspects of
that training, yes, involve building what we would call
safety networks that include other agencies and other
partners in the community, so that's a part of that
21
process.
And, but, but developing that training and that
22
23
practice approach, you know, is really essential within the
child welfare system because of its interface with
24
questions of safety and risk.
And so that, that's where a
25
part of that is, but a part of it certainly does involve
