Notes:<br />
1. A maximum of 124 credit hours earned at a community college may be applied toward a Baccalaureate degree.<br />
2. Only courses with letter prefixes and numbers above 100 are accepted at the University of <strong>Oregon</strong>.<br />
3. A maximum of 12 credit hours of vocational/technical courses are accepted.<br />
4. BA degree requires the equivalent of two years of college foreign language.<br />
5. BS degree requires MTH111 and two higher mathematics courses, or MTH105 and two higher mathematics courses.<br />
6. Courses in which “D” grades have been earned will transfer to UO, but will not satisfy degree requirements in Writing, mathematics, or foreign language and<br />
may not be acceptable for major requirements.<br />
7. Students not meeting freshman admissions criteria must complete 36 transfer hours and WR121, and MTH105 or MTH111 before transferring. Students may<br />
request a waiver of the math course for the admission requirement.<br />
8. Students with an Associate of Arts Transfer Degree (AA/OT) from <strong>Southwestern</strong> <strong>Oregon</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> will be considered as having met the<br />
General Education Requirements at UO. The Multiculture requirement is not satisfied by completing the AA/OT degree unless two of the acceptable courses<br />
are taken as part of the AA/OT degree.<br />
9. This guide is subject to change without notice and should not be regarded as a contract between UO and students attending <strong>Southwestern</strong> <strong>Oregon</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
10. Approved group satisfying courses must be at least three credits each.<br />
** No more than three courses from any one department may be used to satisfy the total 45 credit group requirement. Must include two courses in the same subject<br />
and at least one course in a different subject.<br />
*** Arts and Letters group satisfying credits cannot be used to meet the Bachelor of Arts language proficiency, and Science group satisfying credits may not be<br />
used to meet the Bachelor of Science Mathematics/Computer Science proficiency.<br />
Effective fall 2002, only one major course may be used to meet group requirements.<br />
