Description: "You will play a vital role in your company's presence on the World<br />
Wide Web. You may use web page development software to create or change web<br />
pages, inserting text content, graphics and interactive modules that are often supplied<br />
by others in your organizational team. Before you start, you will probably talk to the<br />
many stakeholders in your company who depend on the organization's web presence.<br />
You'll also look at successful models and research software tools to help design the<br />
look, feel and navigation. In some organizations you may be responsible for making<br />
sure the web pages and updates get installed, and work with the hardware associated<br />

The Web Production Specialist Certificate of Completion is intended to prepare<br />
students for an entry-level job in website production. The web production specialist is<br />
able to design, implement, and maintain websites using web editors, HTML, and other<br />
contemporary software, interface with users, provide customer support, and have an<br />
appreciation for the importance of web presence for the company.<br />
The Web Site Fundamentals Certificate of Completion is intended to prepare<br />
students for basic website development with an emphasis in HTML construction.<br />
The Internet Fundamentals Certificate of Completion will assist in achieving the<br />
very basic skills necessary to begin a career in web design and management. The<br />
credits earned in this certificate can be included in achieving a Web Site Fundamentals<br />
Certificate of Completion and in a Web Specialist Certificate of Completion. The skills<br />
learned in these courses can also be used by individuals working for companies or for<br />
themselves who need to develop web pages as part of their work.<br />

1. OA121 Keyboarding is strongly recommended.<br />
2. CIS2280 or CS280 may be taken over several terms but only after completion of<br />
the first year computer courses. See CS advisor for instructor consent.<br />
3. For a total of six credits for the program, select from ART115, ART116, BA101,<br />
CIS6260, CS133VB, CS135DB, CS140, CS160, CS161, CS162, CS195, CS199F,<br />
CS233VB, CS233WS, CS240U, CS240W, WR214T. Other options may exist, see<br />
CS advisor for approval.<br />
