making out the ground and keeping all the references, levels and lining pegs<br />

sealed in cement concrete and execute the work in accordance with those<br />

levels for which he will be responsible throughout the whole period contract.<br />

The few benchmark pillars to be connected with MIDC benchmark will be<br />

constructed by the contractor at the site of works as directed for reference of<br />

various levels in connection with work.<br />

4. CARTING:- The contractor shall provide his own mode of conveyance for<br />

carrying pipes, specials and other sundry materials required for the execution<br />

of the work. The contractor shall provide diversion to the affected existing<br />

road, if required, as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at his own cost.<br />

5. TIME LIMIT:- The time limit for the completion of the work shall be<br />

( 02 ) Two months (including of monsoon) from the date mentioned in the<br />

work order .<br />

6. GENERAL:- The contractor shall be deemed to be thoroughly conversant<br />

with the local condition such as the availability of all construction materials,<br />

skilled and unskilled labour and to have based his rates accordingly for this<br />

work. He shall be deemed to have carefully studied all the specifications and<br />

drawings and followed them before the submission of his <strong>tender</strong>.<br />

7. In case of any discrepancy between the type of working drawings on one<br />

hand and the working of the corresponding item and specification thereof as<br />

per the contract, the later will be deciding for the purpose of actual execution<br />

of items. However, the Executive Engineer (E&M)’s decision should be<br />

obtained in the matter before hand. For a composite item any higher<br />

specification are to be adopted for any component as a result than specified in<br />

the item and specification therefore, extra rate will payable. No major<br />

deviation involving substantial extra outlay will be made without the prior<br />

approval of the Superintending Engineer.<br />

8. A work order book will be maintained by MIDC on site and/or in the<br />

Divisional Office and/or Sub-Division under it. The contractor will sign all<br />

instruction issued by Executive Engineer (E&M) or his representative/his<br />

superior Officers and comply with them. For this purpose the contractor or<br />

Contractor.<br />
