11. Supervisory Staff: The contractor shall engage on the work a qualified and
experienced supervisor capable of managing and guiding the work properly.
The Supervisor shall be authorised by the contractor in writing to receive the
orders issued by the Engineer in charge from time to time. The contractor shall
be responsible for carrying out these orders promptly.
12. Work order book : Department will maintain work order book at the site of
work. The contractor or his authorised shall sign all the instructions received
therein, in token of having received the same and shall comply with them
forthwith.
13. Cleaning of site: The contractor shall clear the site of work before starting work
and after completing it. The work of cleaning the site includes cutting of trees,
shrubs, bushes, grass, removing construction such as stacks of various materials,
underground pipes etc. and also rearranging the same as directed by the
Engineer in charge. The cost of cleaning the site as explained above stands
included in the unit rates for various items of work and the department shall not
make any extra payment what so ever on that account. All the materials
obtained in clearing the site shall be the property of the Corporation.
14. Progress of Work : The contractor shall carry out the work to the programme
chalked out by the department from time to time. He will also not be allowed to
proceed with the work in scattered manner.
15. Accidents: Should any accidents, fatal or otherwise occurred a detailed report
about the same shall be made promptly by the contractor to Engineer in charge,
Public authorities and relatives of the persons who met with the accident, and all
costs involved therein shall be borne by the contractor.
16. Taxes : The rates quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to include all taxes
octroi and such other charges in force prevailing during the tender of work.
17. Housing Arrangement : The contractor shall have to make temporary
arrangements for housing to his employees and the necessary arrangements of
public health are to be provided by the contractor, as provided in the contract
labour ( Regulation and Abolition)Act, 1971.
