over 750 staff of which Kitale and Kisumu projects<br />

agricultural production, marketing, village savings and<br />

loans, soil and water conservation, tree establishment<br />

etc.<br />

- Foreign exchange earnings to host countries.<br />

Number of people to benefit: approx. 100,000 people in<br />

approx. 20,000 households in 8 sub-locations in western<br />

Kenya.<br />

- Strengthened staff capacity building.<br />

- Strengthened capacity building of the community/<br />

farmers<br />

- AF promotion through radio programmes even<br />

outside the area of intervention/operation.<br />

- Farmer exchange visits leads to copying of<br />

interventions being promoted by the programme.<br />

- Enhanced social capital through co-operative<br />

outreach.<br />

- Small groups grow into bigger organizations, e.g.<br />

CBOs.<br />
