Phase 4: Configure LPR Manager for a mobile <strong>AutoVu</strong> system<br />

• Listening port. This port is used to listen for connection requests coming from fixed<br />

Sharp units and Patroller applications. The default value is 8731.<br />

6 Enter the Basic information for this role and click Next.<br />

• Entity name. Enter a name for the LPR Manager.<br />

• (Optional) Entity description. Enter a description for the LPR Manager. For example,<br />

you could describe which LPR or Patroller units this LPR Manager will control.<br />

• Partition. Select which existing partition the LPR Manager will belong to, or choose<br />

a New or System partition.<br />

7 Confirm the information displayed on the Creation summary page.<br />

8 Click Create and then click Close.<br />

9 Click Apply.<br />

The LPR Manager entity appears in Role view, with the Identity tab displayed.<br />

Configure LPR Manager server, database, and database retention<br />

periods<br />

1 Log on to Config Tool.<br />

2 From the Config Tool Home page, go to System > Roles, and then click the LPR Manager<br />

you want to configure.<br />

3 In the LPR Manager page, select the Resources tab, then configure the LPR Manager<br />

server and database.<br />

For more information on databases, see the Config Tool help.<br />

4 Select the Options tab, click General settings, and then specify the database retention<br />

periods.<br />

5 Click Apply.<br />
