104 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn<br />

means that there is no law-bearing prophet<br />

(after him), because there is no prophet after<br />

him. Hence, this is similar to his statement:<br />

“When the Caesar shall die, there is no Caesar<br />

after him, and when the Khosroe shall die, there<br />

shall be no Khosroe after him. (Fūtūhāt<br />

Makkiyyah, Volume 2, Chapter 73, Question 25,<br />

Page 85) 90<br />

Hadīth Number 5 – Al-‘Āqib: After Whom there is no Prophet<br />

حدثاaانaبنaۃaنaازریaعaحدaبنaجبرaبنaمa<br />

نaابہaانaابaaااللهaہaوaمaالaااaحدaوaااaاحدaوa<br />

اا aااح aاذی حa بa aار aو aاا aاحار aاذی aحر aااسa<br />

aبaوaااaاابaوaاابaاذیaسaبدہaب<br />

Sufyān bin ‘Uyainah reported on the authority of Zuhrī, who<br />

heard it from Muhammad bin Jubair ibn Mut‘im, who reported<br />

on the authority of his father that he heard Allāh’s Messenger sa<br />

saying, “I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am Al-Māhī<br />

(The Obliterator) by whom unbelief would be obliterated, and I<br />

am Al-Hāshir (The Gatherer) at whose feet mankind will be<br />

gathered, and I am Al-‘Āqib (The Last to Come) after whom<br />

there will be no prophet.” 91<br />

This narration is simply unacceptable! It has been<br />

narrated by Sufyān bin ‘Uyainah who narrated it from Zuhrī.<br />
