54 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn<br />

ا‎ا‎ ا ‎ں ا‎ء ‎ا‎م ‎ظ ز<br />

ا‎ء <br />

In terms of time, I am the Khātam-ul-Khulafā’ in Islām<br />

just as Masīh Ibn Mariam was the Khātam-ul-Khulafā’ for<br />

the Israelite dispensation.<br />

ا‎ا‎ ا ‎ں ا‎ء رو ‎ا‎م ‎رو‎<br />

ا‎ء <br />

In terms of spirituality, I am the Khātam-ul-Khulafā’ in<br />

Islām just as Masīh Ibn Mariam was the Khātam-ul-<br />

Khulafā’ for the Israelite dispensation.<br />

Hence, it is quite clear from the quotation itself that the<br />

Promised Messiah as is speaking of the status of Hazrat ‘Īsā as .<br />

Further proof of the fact that he was not using the word khātam<br />

to mean “last” in this specific context is that he himself<br />

predicted that there would be Khulafā’ after him. This is<br />

demonstrated when he writes, a“ aن aخۃ aاو aاوود aاح ار<br />

The‏)”خاہaاaارضaدق Promised Messiah as or a Khalīfa from his<br />

Khulafā’ would travel towards the land of Damascus) 39 . In a<br />

similar quotation, the Promised Messiah as calls himself the<br />

اہaخاتمaالاباءaوaااa‏“‏ Khātam-ul-Awliyā’ and clarifies his use as well,<br />

‏”خاتمaالاواءaلاaوaبدیaالاaاذیaوaaوa (Certainly, he [the<br />

Holy Prophet Muhammad sa ] is the Khātam-ul-Anbiyā’ and I am<br />
