mean nothing other than his being the best or the most superior<br />

of all of the prophets.<br />

1. What credentials does he have to question the centuriesold<br />

idiomatic usage of a word in the Arabic language?<br />

2. Why does the Holy Prophet sa consider being Khātam-un-<br />

Nabiyyīn a superiority over the other prophets if the<br />

word khātam cannot possibly mean “the best” (according<br />

to Farhan Khan)?
