World Day of Prayer International
Committee
World Day of Prayer is an ecumenical
movement initiated and carried out by
Christian women in 170 countries who conduct
a common day of prayer on the first
Friday of March to which all people are welcome.
There is an annual theme for the worship
service that has been prepared by women
in a different country each year. For March 5,
2010 the WDP Committee of Cameroon has
prepared a worship service on the theme, “Let
Everything That Has Breath Praise God”. The
offering at the WDP is gathered by each WDP
National/Regional Committee and given to
support projects for women and children and
to help people who are in need.
