F01M)ERS DAY!
ALBURN
Nine alumni of Alabama Beta's
dass of '46 returned to Aubum,
March 7, to celebrate Founders Day
with the chapter.
Induded into the Golden Legion
were: Lynn Blake, Reese Bricken,
Dubo Harper, Allen Reynolds, Ed
Baumhauer, Joe Thombly, Fred
Greene, Bamett Woodruff, and
Nicholas Holmes Jr.
The Golden Legionnaires and
other attending alumni reminisced
about the war years at Aubum. Fiity
years ago the chapter was forced to
move out of its house to provide
housing for the influx of miUtary
persormel receiving trcdning on
campus. Two of the Legiormaires
discovered they had been dassmates
in midshipman's school at Columbia
University after leaving Aubum.
CENCESNATI
The Cincinnati Area Alumni Qub
celebrated Founders Day April 12 at
the MetropoUtan Qub in Covington,
KY. Seventy-five brothers came
together for an evening higWighted
by the induction of six Uiuversib.- of
Cindrmati Phis into the Golden
Legion: R. C. Giim, Vernon Corbin,
Robert Ormston, George Wagner,
Charles Lindner, and Hubert Bemet.
We also congrattilate three Ohio
Theta Phis honored as PaUadians:
Herb Fahrenbruck, PhU Berghausen,
and WiUiam Mire.
We thank aU area brothers who
again made this year's Founders Day
truly memorable.
FT. LAUDERDALE
The Phi Delta Theta Alumni Qub
of the Fort Lauderdale Area, Inc.,
held its annual Founders Day on
April 28 at the Florida Ocean
Sdences Institute (FOSI). More than
70 Phis were in attendance.
Golden and SUver Legiormaires
and PaUadians were induded. The

their 55* anniversary of membership
were: Joseph J. Reis, Pittsburgh '39;

Robert L. Slatterly, Union '40; Harold

and Lamar G. Warren, Florida '30. W.
Courtney Lankford, Maryland '33
was also recognized for 60 years of
membership.
GREEN \ ALLEY
The dub held its Foxuiders Day
on March 18 at the Country Qub of
Green VaUey. George Grady, Omega
province president, and Jay Anderson,
president of the Tucson Alumni
Qub, joined 42 Phis and guests.
Robert J. MiUer, president of the
Phi Delta Theta Foundation was the
speaker, and he accepted a donation
from the dub. Monetary gifts were
