services hired
General Headquarters has hired former
chapter consultant and province president
Conrad Foster Thiede,
Colgate '90, as the director of
alumni services. He succeeds
Greg Soska in this position.
Brother Thiede's main
duty will be to service the
more than 60 alumni clubs
Thiede and to help develop clubs in
areas where they do not currently
exist.He will also be responsible for
alumni programming like the Alumni Academy.Thiede
has already begun visiting clubs
across the U.S. and Canada this fall.

the first Friday of each
month.

president of the club, succeeding

Hoysgaard. Brother
Hoysgaard was appointed an
honorary director of the club.

August meeting, and members
are being asked to
volunteer to speak to classes
of FOSI students. The directory
of club members was
completed in September, and
the club held its eighth annual
Golf Outing September 19.

The club closed out the season
with its annual cocktaU
party and picnic at the home
of Jackie and Norm Dunlap.
Twenty-nine Phis, wives, and
guests attended. In addition
to an exceUent barbecue dinner,
the club recognized
PaUadians for 55, 60, 65, and
70 years. Nineteen of our
members earned the new pins,
including Ed Taze who was
initiated more than 70 years
ago.
We anticipate a
strong season. Our faU
dinner wiU be held in
late October and our
Christmas Party in December.
We were saddened
by the deaths of longtime
member Robert
WUUams, Iowa State
'35, and Harriet Doubler, wife
of past president, Ralph
Doubler, Ohio '41.

A golf scramble is scheduled
for September and events are
planned for a home footbaU

The club hopes to assist in
colonization efforts at both
