1849 Daphne Ln., Yuba City, CA 95991. This
year has been prosperous forthe California Xi
chapter. In the fall, Shawn Mulqueeney wasthe
runner-upforthe 1992 Homecoming King. This
spring, Brian Hildreth was elected executive vice
president of the Chico State Student Body. He
was also elected vice president of I FC forthe
1993-94 school year. Kevin Hemadez was elected
to bathe Northern California/Nevada delegate for
the Western RegionalGreekConference.Mike
Schlomann, while serving as president of our
chapter this spring, was also the president of
CircleKlntemational.acommunity service
organization. Marie Montgomery was appointed to
the Activity Fee Coordinator forthe Chico State
Student Government.
Our chapter placed above all other fraternities
on ourcampus in Greek Week, and earned fifth
overall. This year. Brother Roy Bishop is the
Greek Weekchairman, as well as the current vice
president of Order of Omega.
Our involvement here at Chico State continues
to grow every year. We are constantly striving to
be the best we can.

Omicron's membership is strong with 48 brothers
and eight Phikeias.
At the end of last spring, we were awarded the
IFC Dean's Trophy for most outstanding fraternity
on campus. We also won the Campus Community
Service Award, and were ranked 3'^ in overall
scholastlcachivement.
CaliforniaOmicron continues to be a
competitive force in all campus intramural sports.
We are undefeated infootball, Softball, and
baskett)all.
California Omicron would like to express our

San Diego State University
California Pi (1989), 6165 Montezuma Road
#17, San Diego, CA 92115. Chapter Ad viser -
John Morrison, 3351 - 31 st St. #4, San Diego,
A 92104. In the fall, the brothers at California Pi
were recognized by IFC for outstanding
interfratemity involvement and took 3"* place in the
Dean's Trophy. Brother Chris Hull joined Order of
Omega, and the chapter participated in a
community service with Delta Zeta and the
Surfrider Foundation to clean up local beaches.
Spring rush involved a younger generation of
students, as we invited the children at Hardy
Elementary School to the chapterto play in a
rented Astro Jump as a service/rush event. We
placed second among 17 fraternities in
scholarship. In the spring, the brothers and the
sisters of Alpha Chi Omega organized a
community service event with the Special
Olympics.
We would like to thank our two chapter
advisers, John Morrison and ChrisThompshon,
fortheiroverall assistance and contributions to the

San Jose State University
California lota (1978), 611 South 8th St., San

Jose, CA 95112. The California lota chapter
earned the Gold Star last year, motivating the
brothers even more. OurchapterGPA kept us at
second of all fraternities on campus, while our
Phikeias earned first place. This was the first year
forournewest philanthropy event: the all-sorority
powderpuff football toumament.
The powderpuff tournament is drawing campus
attention along with community support. The event
will help to raise money for ALS while creating a
fun yet competitive atmosphere forthe sororities.
We have also participated in tutoring sessions for
elementary students and volunteered forthe
Special Olympic activities.
Our social calendar is always packed with
many exchanges and group events. With the help
of the treasurer and stringent bylaws we have kept
our accounts receivable below 2%. Our new
house has been maintained without any difficulties
and is completely filled forthe upcoming school
year. We made the playoffs and semi-finals in
every intramural sport and received first place in
volleyball.
Through the hard work of our rush chairman
and the selection of quality Phikeias, our
membership has risen this yeardespite the
decrease in students pledging Greek. In the 1992-
93 school year we have initiated better than 90%

Chairman - Revor Anderson, 336 "C" St.,
Davis, CA 95616. The California Epsilon chapter
initiated 16 men and pledged seven Phikeias In
the spring. These numbers are up from last year
at this time, and we hope to increase these
numbers even more next year.
We have made some changes to the exterior
and interior parts of the house. In the front of the
house we poured concrete to be used as either a
parking lot or a basketball court. In the backyard
we put in a full length sand volleyball court. These
two additions will be great for rush events. We
also intalled a fence that surrounds the back of
the house and a small fence that encloses the
basketball court. We are also proud of the the new
lawn and sprinkler system we put in the front yard.
The downstairs bathroom has also been
renovated, and a new refrigerator has been
added. We are very proud of all our accomplishments
and have high expectations of producing

Riverside, CA 92507. The California Mu chapter
initiated its Mu pledge class: John Barkley, Shaun
Cahill, Matt Fuller, Ron Hale, Rob Jett, John
Jorgenson, Brian Martin, Geoff Melendez, Dave
Peck, Jeff Quimby, and Parkson Yen, bringing our
chapter to 58 members. We also have five
Phikeias In the Nu pledge class.
The chapter publishes three alumni newsletters
annually. We are enjoying growing supportfrom
the California Mu Alumni Association, which was
recently established with Pat Sullivan as
president. Our new chapter adviser is Brian
Sladic, an alumnus of California Mu who is
replacing "Papa" Lou Evans who held the position
for six years. Through the California Mu Housing
Committee the chapter attained a 14 unit
apartment complex that will act as the chapter
house for the next three years. The chapter
received its fourth Gold Star in five years and
currently holds five out of the eight I FC executive
positions. Once again we are celebrating our third
annual Phi Pride Week with proceeds from Bossie
Bingo being donated to ALS.
We, the brothers of the California Mu chapter,
look fonward to the challenges that the 1993-94
year hold and welcome all the brothers of Phi

very successful year. The 13 new Phikeias from
the fall and spring semesters are looking fonward
to a continuation of this success. Wins in
intramurals came from the napoleon and co-rec
(combined with Kappa AlphaTheta) basketball
