WUUam E. WaUcer ('50), died
Febmary 24 in LaJoUa, CA. He was
former chairman and chief executive
officer of BUl's DoUar Stores. He
helped found Mississippi Food
Network and saw the program grow
to distribute almost 2 million pounds
of food to the state's needy. He was
named the Outstanding volunteer of
the Year by Goodwill Industries in
1992, appointed to the President's
Cotmcil on Rural American in 1990
by President Bush and honored by
the People of Vision in 1987. Survivors
include a Phi cousin, Hugh S.
