Palm Beach
The Palm Beach Area
Alumni Club of Phi Delta
Theta was founded in 1953.
The club presently has 51
active members who live in
Martin, Palm Beach, and
surrounding counties.
These brothers were
initiated between 1923 and
1989 and attended 30
different colleges in 15
states.
The club's annual
Holiday Party was held on
Friday, December 11,1992,
at the Bonnette Hunting
Preserve in Palm Beach
Gardens, Horida. The food
was great, and the Christmas
spirit was abundant.
The hunting lodge and its
decoration added to the
holiday atmosphere.
Our annual Founders
Day Dinner wiU be held on
April 19,1993, at the
Sailfish Club in beautiful
Palm Beach. Several
brothers will be inducted
into the Silver and Golden

a membership drive.

Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Alumru
Club held its traditional
Christmas Luncheon at the
Gateway Center Club in
the heart of the Golden
Triangle on Friday,
December 4,1992. Thirtythree
members of the
alumni club and three
undergraduates from
Washington & Jefferson
attended the event.
President Doug Yauger,
Pittsburgh '76, presided.
and Howard Womsley,
Dickinson '57, performed
the invocation. A moment
of silence was dedicated to

Armor, Duke '48, and Bill
Loos, Pittsburgh '35, who
entered the Chapter Grand
since the club's last
Christmas Luncheon. Both
of these brothers attended
last year's affair.
Ten Golden Legionnaires
were recognized.
Brother Ralph Gilbert,
Mississippi '62, received his
Silver Legion pin.
Twenty-two brothers
participated in the tiaditional
FootbaU Pool. Last
year's winners were Ted
Black, Allegheny '87, Bob
WUUson, Allegheny '42, and
Howard Womsley,
Dickinson '57.
Bob Heister, Upsilon
province president, gave a
report of the chapters in his
province.
Brother Ralph GUbert
closed the luncheon with
the songs of Phi Delta
Theta.
The Armual Golf Outing
will be held on Wednesday,
June 9,1993, at the Champion
Lakes Gold Club in
Bolivar, Pennsylvania.

48 golfers in attendance: 19
Phi Delts and 29 guests.
Our oldest golfer was
Howard G. Womsley, 87,
father of J. Howard
Womsley, Dickinson '57.
Our long distance golfers
were Jim Stopf ord, and
Chuck McDonald.
Rick Ban, Ohio '72, had
low gross of 78 for the Phi
Delts, and John Means had
low gross of 80 for the
guests. Chuck McDonald
had low net of 70 for Phis,
and Bob Maloney had low
net of 69 for guests.
Roger Tessaro, guest of
Doug Yauger, Pif t '76, had
the longest drive, and Dave
Treusch, guest of Doug
Yauger, had closest to the
pin on #3. Mike Ricketts,
son-in-law of Bill
WrenshaU, Washington &
Jefferson '41, had closest to
the pin on #7. Richard Orr,
guest of Bob Mather, Kent
State '65, had closest to the
pin on #11. Jim Stopf ord.
our Ohio traveler, had
closest to the pin on #14.
